Products now have specs, and you can compare them
3 min read

Two laptops at the same price can have different screens, memory and weight. Until now you had to open each store's page to find out. Now the specs are on Salio.
Specs on the product page
Open a product and scroll down past the price chart. The specs are there, grouped: display, memory, connections and so on.
If the product comes in several configurations and you pick one, the table shows the values of that one.
Which categories
All ten: smartphones, tablets, laptops, monitors, graphics cards, professional displays, TVs, headphones, keyboards and washing machines. That is about 112,000 values in all.
Some products still have no specs, or only a few lines. We are filling the gaps.
Comparing products
Product cards and product pages now have a button with scales. Press it on two, three or four products and a bar shows up at the bottom of the screen. It takes you to the comparison.
The comparison is one table: products in columns, specs in rows. At the top is each product's lowest price and a link to the store. The cheapest price is green.
Turn on “Only differences” and the rows where all products match go away. What is left is what sets them apart.
You compare products of one category at a time: a phone next to a TV tells you little. Add a product from another category and we will ask whether to start a new comparison.
No account needed: the list stays in your browser. The products are in the page address, so you can send a comparison to someone.
One thing to keep in mind
Specs can contain mistakes. If one detail decides your purchase, check it on the store's page before you buy.
